University of Antwerp: Graduate teaching & research assistant in IP law
The University of Antwerp is seeking to recruit a teaching & research assistant, who will be part of the academic assistant staff. Indigenous cultural and intellectual property in Australia
Australia has established a First Nations Expert Working Group on Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property. The 8 members will help inform the drafting of stand-alone legislation to protect First Nations traditional knowledge and traditional cultural expressions and address the harm caused by fake First Nation art on merchandise and souvenirs.
Targeted consultation on the future of the International IP SME helpdesk
The European Commission has launched a targeted consultation to gather input from stakeholders on the efficiency and effectiveness of the International IP SME Helpdesk activities in China, South-East Asia, Latin America, and India. For further information, see here.
Should the US sign the WIPO Treaty on Intellectual Property, Genetic Resources and Associated Traditional Knowledge?
The USPTO is seeking public comments on whether the United States should sign and implement the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Treaty on Intellectual Property, Genetic Resources and Associated Traditional Knowledge, which need to be submitted by March. The USPTO will also hold a hybrid hearing on this matter on 29 April 2025, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. eastern time (ET).
