Question the Trade Mark Judges 2025
UCL Institute of Brand and Innovation Law (IBIL) and MARQUES, the European Association of Trade Mark Owners, will hold a hybrid event on 25 March 2025, allowing participants to meet and question some of the judges deciding the latest trade mark disputes in the EU and the UK. More information here.
WIPO – UNIGE Summer School on Intellectual Property
The University of Geneva, in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), will host the “WIPO – University of Geneva Summer School on Intellectual Property”, a two-week course running from 16 to 27 June 2025. The first week will take place at the WIPO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, while the second will be at the University of Geneva Law School. The deadline for applications is 15 March 2025. Summer Course on International Copyright Law & Policy 2025
The Institute for Information Law will host its annual intensive post-graduate course on international copyright law and policy between 30 June and 4 July 2025 at de Burcht, Amsterdam. The course will explore key contemporary issues in copyright law from a comparative law perspective, in the light of recent international and regional agreements. It is designed for post-graduate level participants with some prior knowledge of the field. Further details here.

DAFRA Consultation
The Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs (DAFRA) launched a consultation on its plans to introduce a new plant varieties and seeds framework for precision bred plant varieties in the UK. The consultation will run until 14 April 2025. Further information here.
8 March: A Joint Commitment to Women in Innovation and Creativity
In celebration of International Women’s Day, the EUIPO and WIPO, along with more than 60 IP offices, issued a joint message reaffirming their commitment to support women in creative industries and innovation by empowering their participation in the IP ecosystem.
