The IPKat seeks to serve the IP community in the broadest possible manner. One such service should be to provide information to Kat readers about quality IP contributions other than in English.

Accordingly, the IPKat is launching an initiative to establish a “Repository of Non-English IP Titles” for titles published since 2000. The Repository will aggregate information on a country-by-country basis about IP books (including book series and multi-edited collections) published in a language other than English.

The IPKat will rely on Kat readers to make appropriate recommendations (sorry, no self-recommendations). This includes (and indeed, encourages) treatises that have been published in multiple editions, provided the latest published edition is after 1999.

Please provide the requested information on the questionnaire, which can be found at this link. IPKat will then vet the titles for inclusion in the Repository and, for titles published since 2020, for possible review on IPKat. We hope to publish the first batch of recommended titles by early April, so we would be grateful if you could submit your initial recommendations by March 15th.

Kat friend Erva Akin will assist the IPKat in this project. All questions should be directed to Neil Wilkof at [email protected]. We look forward to working with Kat readers.
