Chinese Ministry of Commerce leads Inter-Ministerial visit to EUIPO
A Chinese delegation led by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and DG TRADE representatives visited EUIPO this week, with the aim of facilitating exchanges between the Chinese government and the EU and to further strengthen the EU-China IP dialogue.
The Chinese delegation, comprised of officials from nine ministries, judges from provincial high courts and the Beijing IP Court, the procurator from the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) together with representative of academia, have also visited London and Brussels.
Delegates met the relevant EU institutions as well as with European industry representatives, followed by participation in the 19th EU-China IP Working Group meeting on November 10th.
The visit, organised by IP Key, closed with a meeting with EUIPO premises on November 14th and a roundtable discussion with the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights.
