COVID 19 has caused the cancellation of another IP event. For Kat readers who may not yet be aware and are still planning to attend the MARQUES Spring meeting, scheduled to begin this Wednesday in Frankfurt, please take note as follows:

It is with much regret that we are cancelling the 2020 Spring meeting in Frankfurt due to the health risks associated with the coronavirus (COVID 19. An email has been sent to each of the delegates explaining the situation in more detail. Team members are being asked to participate in a team conference call at the time their team was due to meet. An email will be sent to team members with arrangements for those calls. We look forward to seeing delegates at the Annual Meeting in Stockholm in September. Meanwhile, MARQUES apologises to delegates for any inconvenience this causes and appreciates their understanding of our efforts to put the health and safety of our members above all other considerations.

The world of IP meetings is definitely in uncharted waters and it is anyone’s guess how all of these cancellations will ultimately play out in the form of rescheduling and the like.
