Webinars and Events

Assimilate IP is hosting a free webinar on IP Essentials for Start Ups and SMEs on 17 February, with more information available here. Its other upcoming offerings include the following:

The Union of European Practitioners in Intellectual Property (UNION-IP)’s Winter Round Table event will take place on Friday, 26 February, focusing on innovation and return on investment in response to current challenges. The full programme can be found here, with registration available here.
The Interactive Entertainment Law Review will hold a webinar on post-Brexit copyright protection of video games on 3 March, with a panel of speakers including PermaKat Prof. Eleonora Rosati. Registration is available here.
Conferences

The UIC John Marshall Law School’s Center for Intellectual Property, Information & Privacy Law will host a one-day virtual conference on 12 March, with the theme of “Intersections in Intellectual Property: Trends, Policies, and Strategies”. Find out more here.

The Annual Conference of the World Intellectual Property Forum (WIPF) will be held online between 26-28 April, on the theme “Intellectual Property 2021: New Risks, New Challenges & Emerging Solutions”. Early bird registration runs until tomorrow, 14 February, available here.

The WS Society’s IP Conference will this year take place online on 6 May 2021 with speakers including PermaKat Prof. Eleonora Rosati. Further information can be found here.

Registration to attend the 28th Fordham IP Conference on 8 and 9 April 2021 is now open. Attendees will unfortunately not have the opportunity to meet in New York City, but they will be able to ‘learn, debate, and have fun’ online.

Vacancies and Opportunities

The Center for the Protection of Intellectual Property (CPIP) at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School has opened a call for applications for its Thomas Edison Innovation Law and Policy Fellowships, with further information available here.

Maastricht University is seeking a PhD candidate to research the theme of reclaiming artwork looted by Nazis and their collaborators, with an application deadline of 4 April. Find out more here.
