An issue that has come to occupy a significant space in the legal and business spheres recently is that of sustainability.
Specifically from an IP perspective, one may wonder about the registrability of signs that convey a ‘green’ or ‘sustainable’ message, the lawfulness of certain advertising claims, or the availability of certain regimes (notably: geographical indications for non-agricultural products) and their potential to enhance sustainability, also in the fashion sector.
This is why, on Tuesday, 13 April 2021, Fashion Law London will hold an online live event, titled ‘The New Age of Fashion: Sustainanle Horizons‘, to discuss everything sustainability in fashion, including:
- The meaning of sustainability;
- The IP issues facing sustainability;
- The competition law/antitrust dimension of sustainability;
- How to embed sustainability policies in the supply chain;
- Technologies to ensure and track sustainability.
