IPKat readers enjoying all things (EU) copyright may be interested to know that, on 26 May 2021, the Institute for Intellectual Property and Market Law (IFIM) at Stockholm University will be organizing a 1-day, online conference with myself and the authors of the individual chapters of my edited collection The Routledge Handbook of EU Copyright Law.
Topics of discussion will include:
  • Copyright and related rights: when does and should protection arise?
  • The scope of exclusive rights and liability for the doing of unauthorized acts
  • The state of copyright exceptions and limitations
  • Copyright enforcement: the technological and cross-border dimensions
  • The law and policy of EU harmonization and the role of the CJEU
Attendance is free, but registration is required. If you are interested in this event, please see more information, including the conference programme, and register here.
Registered participants will be emailed the Zoom joining instructions the day before the conference.
I would like to take the opportunity to also thank talented and enthusiastic LLM students Alexandre Zanatta Miura and Riana Harvey (also a GuestKat) for their help in organizing this event.
